Beautiful scenery, accompanied by poets' praises. Birds chirping and flowers blooming; for the first time, I found the birds playful and adorable, and not at all afraid of people.

Next to Alishan Hotel, walk uphill for a short distance.

A leisurely stroll in June, seven o'clock, the sun hanging low in the sky. The chill of the night, the sunlight, the warm sun soothes the forest. The elegance of the poetry path, appreciating literature, the poets' verses enrich the beautiful scenery. The clear morning sky, praise, self-recitement accompanies the journey. The early morning poetry path reveals a serene and tranquil beauty. Although I have no literary talent, I still want to pretend, and make a fool of myself! Let's look at the Forestry Bureau's explanation: "Zhaoping Park was originally a logging settlement, overlooking the sacred mountain of the Tsou tribe - Tashan, boasting breathtaking mountain mists, seas of clouds, and rosy sunsets, was destroyed by a fire in the winter of 1976. It was subsequently converted into a plum orchard. In 2012, the Forestry Bureau rebuilt the site on its original location, inviting modern poets such as Lin Hengtai, Yu Guangzhong, Xiang Ming, Zhang Mo, and Zheng Yuchou to inscribe poems about Alishan on stone tablets. The site also includes a poem by the Tsou poet Gao Yisheng. The flower-lined paths and poetic language create a beautiful literary landscape in Alishan. "Birth and death, blossoming and fading, spring plums and peaches, summer fireflies, autumn vibrant colors, winter cold and wild geese. Starry nights and evening rain, green moss lying, walking on flower-lined paths, leisurely winding trails, joy and forgetting worries. As the forest train passes through cypress forests, through white clouds, over Pingzha, over Erwanping to arrive at Alishan, the poetic path leads us to hear the call of the mountains and forests, the quietly standing cherry blossom path." Poetry Trail. The Alishan Poetry Trail, featuring poems written against the backdrop of Alishan, is the highest poetry trail in Taiwan. It includes a 1934 Taiwan Poets' Conference held in Chiayi, where poets composed poems on the themes of "Alishan Dawn View," "Spring Colors of Zhuluo," and "Cherry Blossom Viewing." This event, organized by the Alishan National Park Association to promote Alishan as a national park, brought together contemporary poets in Chiayi over 80 years later to compose poems about Alishan, recreating a literary feast from 80 years ago. Within the Poetry Trail, visitors can rediscover Alishan through the words of poets: "The clamor of insects suddenly subsides, the white-eared thrush flutters its wings and glides into the embrace of the forest, its clear cry echoing through the lush, story-filled forests of Alishan."
