The cultural and historical impact of puppets is highly underrated, and this museum does an excellent job at informing us of that. Across the world, as showcased here, puppets come in a variety of forms and styles, and serve various purposes. The museum is great for families and solo travellers alike, with plenty of interactive areas and even a place to perform your own puppet show. The gift shop at the exit is also good value for money. If you’re in the eastern side of Taipei, the Puppetry Art Center of Taipei is a great choice to spend an hour. For a 50 dollars entry fee, it’s worth the price.

Such a nice trip to the Puppetry Art Center! There are so many interactive puppetry things like an elephant, shadow puppets and hand puppets.

If you’d like puppetry culture about different countries like Mynamar, Indonesia, …, it’ll be very Interesting there to interact with various objects and AI.

We went on a Friday afternoon and had the best time. Child friendly facilities, barely any people, hands on experiences galore. You can spend anywhere from 30mins to hours here depending on how involved you/your kids are with the puppets available to try. Well worth the trip for a great cultural experience.

The BEST thing about the place is the people. People with babies in prams, kids on bicycles, old ladies strolling, Tai Chi classes, music classes, lovers sharing ice creams, people walking dogs - this place is a hub of vital activities.
